How can I get an account with GavelNote?
You can get an account for free by signing up. In order to sign up you will need to use your law school email address. Once you're signed up you can change your email address to whatever you'd like to use on the "Settings" page.
Why do I have to use my law school email address?
We want to ensure that the users of GavelNote are legitimate law school students. This helps to create and foster a robust community filled with your friends and colleagues who are focused on learning the law. By requiring a law school email address we are able to verify that you are an actual member of your school's community. The result is a better experience for you and others. Once you're signed up you can change your email address to whatever you'd like to use on the "Settings" page.
How long will my free Basic plan last?
We offer a Basic plan with no expiration, and no credit card required. It includes two free outline credits and the opportunity to earn additional outline credits at no charge by inviting your classmates to join GavelNote.
What are outline credits?
Outline credits allow you to create new outlines for each of your courses. For example, if you had two outline credits you might create a "Contracts" outline for your Contracts class and a "Torts" outline for your Torts class. When you first get an account you receive two outline credits by default as part of the Basic account, but can earn more by inviting your classmates to join GavelNote. If you upgrade to a Premium subscription you have an infinite amount of outline credits to use.
